Although
the Map provides a manual Zoom bar and scroll arrows, the easiest way
to move and zoom the Map is by using the mouse buttons.
|
Move
Map
|
|
To move the Map, hold
down the right mouse button. This
will "grab" the Map to enable you to reposition it. |
|
Zoom
In
|
|
Hold
down the left mouse button
on the map (somewhere other than a WP) and the Map will automatically
Zoom in. The speed is adjustable in Preferences. |
|
Zoom
out
|
|
Double-click
the left mouse button will Zoom out in steps. It can also be linked
to Fit To Battlefield in Preferences. |
There are also
different "modes" for selecting FGs on the Map:
Select
FG
(to
Move)
|
|
To move a FG (or one
of its WPs), left click on it and
drag it to its new location. Clicking on it will also make it
the Current FG. To drag a FG's waypoints along with it, hold down
the CTRL key while dragging it. |
| Select
FG (without moving) |
|
If
you want to select a FG as the Current FG, but don't want to move
its position, right-click
on it. |
| Multi-select |
|
To select multiple FGs
on the Map, hold down the SHIFT key
or the CTRL key while selecting it.
This can be done when you right-click to select without moving,
or left-click to move selections. |
Basically,
holding the CTRL key
down while dragging means "drag WPs as well start position", and holding
the SHIFT
key down means "drag all selected FGs." Therefore, holding both
keys down while dragging will drag all selected FGs and their
WPs.
The following
demonstrates the different modes of dragging multiple FGs:
It's a good idea to play around
with these functions to get used to them before using it in mission
building.
