"Med Evac"
|
This is the fourth and final Academy mission for the Star Wars X-Wing game. In this mission you will fly a B-Wing in a variation of the original Tour 1 Mission 3 - "Fly Point During Evacuation". This mission was modified from it's original LucasArts form to it's present form to increase the difficulty level past it's original format, and to allow the mission to be flown by the B-Wing. MedEvac is not a hard mission to pass if you're familiar with the advantages and limitations of the B-wing and the X-Wing game itself. However, to ace this mission, it requires superior strategic planning and execution, superior knowledge of enemy Starfighter weaknesses, an extreme knowledge of, and familiarity with, energy and weapons management in a B-Wing, and confidence in your own (and your craft's) abilities. |

Should you be able to pass this mission at all, you will receive credit for this mission toward the "Master of X-Wing Combat Tactics" Medal. In addition, you must finish the mission with a high enough "adjusted score" to qualify for the "MedEvac" (B-Wing Craft Master) Medal. here is a listing of all the B-Wing Medal Winners. You can calculate your adjusted score as follows:
Here's an example using my scores for this mission:

Qualification Requirements:

- You must have an Adjusted Score of at least 22,500 points to qualify for the "MedEvac" (B-Wing Craft Master) Medal.
- You must run this mission as "DEFECT" - Tour 1 Mission 1 - so that your stats can be recorded in your pilot.
- You must use a "clean" pilot for each run of this mission, and submit that pilot.
- Submit a detailed report including ALL the information from the mission debrief screen.
- You MUST include a screenshot of the Debriefing Screen. Use the command "Print Screen" on your keyboard and paste the graphic in any program (.gif or .jpg format will work best). If this is not possible, state clearly the reason for not being able to do so.
- There is no "Run" quantity limit - you can run the "MedEvac" as many times as you want to qualify.
- There is no "Run" date limit - the "MedEvac" has no "expiration date".
