"Refugees"

This is the second of four Academy missions for the Star Wars X-Wing game. In this mission you will fly an A-Wing in a variation of the initial version of Rogue's Minos 2 Mission - "Escort Refugees" - created by former F.C. and Rogue Leader, Dialathos.

This mission is basically in the same as it exists for Minos. A few minor modifications have been made to make it a little harder to accomplish.

Refugees is an outstanding mission that requires excellent strategic planning and execution, concentration on "task at hand" skills, superior knowledge of the cockpit information manipulation, an extreme knowledge of and familiarity with energy and weapons management in an A-Wing, and it takes an extreme confidence in your own (and your craft's) abilities.

Should you be able to pass this mission at all, you will receive credit for this mission toward the "Master of X-Wing Combat Tactics" Medal.

In addition, you must finish the mission with a high enough "adjusted score" to qualify for the "Refugees" (A-Wing Craft Master) Medal.

Here is a listing of all the A-Wing Medal Winners.

You can calculate your adjusted score as follows:

  1. Take 1% of your total Points.
  2. Multiply by 1% of YOUR total Kills.Mulitply by your Laser Accuracy Percentage.
  3. Multiply by your Missile Accuracy Percentage.

Here's an example using my scores for this mission:

  • My Points: 117,280
  • Therefore: 1% of 117,280 is 1,172.8
  • My Kills: 136
  • Therefore: 1% of 136 is 1.36
  • Therefore: 1,172.8 x 1.36 = 1,595.008
  • My Laser Hit Percent - 84%
  • Therefore: 1,595.008 x 84% = 1,339.806
  • My Missile Hit Percent - 100%
  • Therefore: 1,339.806 x 100% = 1,339.806
  • My Adjusted Score = 1,339.8

Qualification Requirements:

  1. You must pass this mission to receive credit toward the "Master of X-Wing Combat Tactics" Medal.
  2. You must have an Adjusted Score of at least 1,000 points to qualify for the "Refugees" (A-Wing Craft Master) Medal.
  3. You must run this mission as "DEFECT" - Tour 1 Mission 1 - so that your stats can be recorded in your pilot.
  4. You must use a "clean" pilot for each run of this mission, and submit that pilot.
  5. Submit a detailed report including ALL the information from the mission debrief screen.
  6. You MUST include a screenshot of the Debriefing Screen. Use the command "Print Screen" on your keyboard and paste the graphic in any program (.gif or .jpg format will work best). If this is not possible, state clearly the reason for not being able to do so.
  7. There is no "Run" quantity limit - you can run the "Refugees" as many times as you want to qualify.
  8. There is no "Run" date limit - the "Refugees" has no "expiration date".
